Bens Run Gas Storage, LLC (Bens Run), is developing an estimated
20 Bcf of high deliverability, multi-cycle natural gas storage in an existing underground salt cavern. Benefiting from its unique operating characteristics, Bens Run will offer the most flexible storage services in the Northeast to meet the deliverability requirements of market participants. The project will consist of a dual bi-directional header pipeline system with the ability to tie into and access as many as five (5) interstate pipelines. Bens Run will operate under a FERC 7c permit and offer Market Based Rates, Customized Storage Capacity and Hub Services.

Bens Run is located in Tyler County, West Virginia along the Ohio River in the heart of the gas rich Marcellus Shale area accessing attractive pipelines and end-use markets. The need for northeast market-area storage capacity and flexible services at market based rates is expected to rise dramatically as the Marcellus Shale is developed. Bens Run’s operating flexibility, competitive cost structure and access to large diameter interstate pipelines will allow customers to strategically manage and optimize their asset, market, supply and trading portfolios.
